Cardiff Hen Partys
The Welsh certainly know how to show a group of ladies a wild weekend! The people here are some of the friendliest and craziest I have ever met. My weekend just flew by and by the time Monday rolled round, we were all well and truly knackered but we still wanted to do it all again. This is an ideal venue for your hen party and I can promise you a weekend that you’ll never forget!

Here are the most popular hen day activities in
These activities have proven to be popular with hen parties in Cardiff as well as being the most fun!
There’s no need for me to mess around. One of the most amazing experiences you can have in Cardiff is Coasteering! ‘Wow’ is all you can really say about this breathtaking adventure that will see you scale rocks, swim in the sea, mess around in rock pools, make crazy jumps into the water and maybe even check out a cave or two. You will make your way along the gorgeous coastline to reach your destination. This is tiring and difficult but it’s also an incredible experience that will stick in your mind forever.
Let’s go from the extreme to a lovely, relaxing day at the Marine Spa. If you’ve had a really hard day and need to relax, then this is the place for you. From stunning beauty treatments to incredible massages, you will feel amazing after only a few hours in this spa. For about half an hour, we sat in a huge pool and a hot tub, just having a laugh. There’s nothing wrong with kicking back and relaxing during a hen weekend. Crikey, after a strenuous activity, you’ll probably need it.
I always think that a hen weekend should be a time when you push yourself. While certain activities may be a bit extreme for some people, archery is something that pretty much anyone can have a go at. Once you’ve been given a quick safety talk and shown how to do it, you’ll be taken to the target range where you’ll be able to find out who is the best archer in your group. We actually got pretty competitive as everyone wanted to get the highest score. Archery is loads of fun and it’s a really cool way to spend an hour or two.
Next up is an intense, wild and really fun day of paintballing. I’m a huge fan of paintballing and yes you do get muddy, sweaty and covered in bruises, but who gives a toss when you’re having so much fun? This is a brilliant activity and there are tons of different game zones to play in. My favourites included the one with loads of bridges to battle on and the one with a zombie theme that sees you fight in a haunted graveyard. This is a lot of fun and you’ll all be laughing like schoolgirls as you try to shoot each other.
Now, we are going to slow things down a little bit. Don’t worry though, the fun factor will still shoot through the roof with an hour or two at a cocktail making lesson! Set in the amazing Tiger Tiger nightclub, you will be entertained by a bartender who will show you how to mix and make some amazing cocktails. You will all get to have a go and of course you’re encouraged to ‘sample’ each other’s work. It’s safe to say that by the end of the day, you are all well and truly warmed up for your hen night! Will your cocktails be amazeballs? Or will they taste like the stuff you keep under the sink? Only one way to find out!
Nowadays, Cardiff has a very wild party scene in the city centre that sees people come from all parts for a night out. But, it’s still a really nice and picturesque part of Wales. With that in mind, I’m sure you girls will love this – a quad bike trek! Here, you’ll ride on something with real power as you go on a quad bike trek around the more scenic parts of Cardiff. Your guide will take you over all kinds of terrain that will test your driving skills and perhaps see more than a few of you end up in a bush … which, I might add, is really funny, even if it happens to you!
A Few More Amazeballs Hen Day Ideas In Cardiff!
Keep on reading because we are not done yet! I have even more great hen day activities for you in Cardiff!
Let’s begin with an awesome session of white water rafting. This is one of those activities where, even if you’ve done it before, you still get a little nervous. But, at the end of the session, you are just like ‘**** yeah!’ and you honestly feel as if you could do anything. This is a really thrilling ride that seems like it’s going at 100mph! Your guide will be with you to give advice and to ensure that things are safe, but it’s up to you ladies to work together to make it down the river. This is just an absolutely fantastic hen day activity and it’s perfect if you fancy doing something with some real excitement.
Let’s not sugar-coat this! If you intend on going to a life drawing class then most likely you’re going to check out what is hopefully a really hot naked hunk who you then get to draw after you’ve stopped giggling, pointing and gawking!. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a serious artist or if you struggle to stay in the lines in a colouring book, having an excuse to look at a naked person is always fun! While the naked guy is a huge (and hopefully he is huge!) highlight of this activity, seeing each other’s drawings is hilariously funny, especially if you are terrible at art like us!
Next up, I’ve got some nice big balls for you to play with! No, we’re not staying at the life drawing class; we’re getting inside those crazy zorb balls and rolling around like lunatics. Is there any point to the zorb balls? Absolutely not! But this is one of the best and craziest things you ladies will do all weekend. My friends still talk about this today!
Finally, how about a session of canoeing & kayaking? This place offers both activities and which one you choose depends on the type of day you want. They are both fun but if you ask me, canoeing is more of a laid-back type of activity as you go on a nice relaxing journey. Kayaking (well, every time I’ve been kayaking) is a little more manic and fast-paced. Both are loads of fun and you‘re guaranteed to have a great day on the river.

The small and intimate The Pot Cafe is perfect for those who want a nice relaxed breakfast. This is a really laid-back little café with friendly owners who will make sure that you are well-fed before a day of energetic antics in Cardiff.
A Really Nice Lunch!
Let’s face it, halfway through the day, you’ll probably be exhausted and want to eat some lovely food and recharge the batteries. Well, I can highly recommend this nice little Mediterranean restaurant, Mezza House. I loved this place and so did the people I was with. The menu has some pretty exotic food but, for the fussy eaters, there are still some traditional offerings. In addition, the prices here are very reasonable and you get a lot of food for your money.
Getting A Cab In Cardiff
Time To Avoid Cardiff?
Well, it’s cold here in the winter so if you don’t fancy freezing your bits off, winter may be a time to avoid. But, truth be told, I would say that you can visit Cardiff all year round.
Are There Any Awesome Festivals In Cardiff?
Well yes, there are. The biggest is the originally named Cardiff Festival which is a celebration of all things to do with the arts such as films, music and comedy. There is loads of stuff going on and it takes over the entire city.
Pills, Bandages & Protection! (Pharmacies In Cardiff)
If you find that you need some DIY medical attention, there are plenty of pharmacies in Cardiff. For me, the best option and the easiest one to get to is the Asda Pharmacy which is open until 10pm. This is a great shop because you can get what you need medically as well as a few bottles of wine at the same time!
