Meet Robin Hood and his Merry Men at a banquet to remember, and forget any idea of a formal, sit down meal served by waiters dressed neatly in black and white uniforms.
The madness begins immediately on arrival as there are no sedate, pre-meal drinks. Instead there is the opportunity to hire a costume and dress up in long, sweeping dresses, leggings and jerkins. Stilt walkers, jugglers and even fire jugglers provide instant entertainment. Try your hand at archery - can you fire an arrow and actually hit the target better than Robin Hood's men? The Sheriff of Nottingham prowls around, watching critically at the archers attempts. Is Robin Hood hidden amongst them?
Then comes the banquet - a three hour meal of medieval indulgence. Sit on wooden benches at the long banqueting tables as wenches bring in platters of food. Make your choice and eat off wooden or pewter platters. Try medieval style if you dare - with just fingers and knife! Yet keeping your attention on the food is hard, as the entertainment is fast and furious - and not just watching the entertainers. Take part in Robin Hood's challenges and discover who will be the ultimate winner. Naturally the Sheriff comes in for lots of booing, with Robin and his outlaw band constantly seeking to outwit him. The humour is raw and very adult, sometimes x-rated.
Having eaten your fill, it is time to dance the night away at Will Scarlet's disco, where modern and medieval music may be played. It is not until 1am that the announcement is made that carriages await as it is time to go. Even Robin Hood has to call it a day.
This is total medieval mayhem with the most famous band of outlaws in history. Lively, entertaining and guaranteed to get everyone dancing and having fun from the very beginning.
